Up for your collection is a Year 1966 vintage brushed chrome Zippo windproof lighter PAT. 2517191 featuring inscription AN KHE 66-67 VIETNAM and US Army 1st CAVALRY Division logo. In the back, it reads "PLEASE ! DON'T TELL ME ABOUT VIETNAM BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN THERE." This original Zippo lighter has a solid cam spring, tight lid and good snap, its top and bottom line up nicely. Matched Zippo insert PAT. 2517191 sparks with a new flint, in excellent shap...e. Pictures show details of this rare item with normal scratches. << FREE Shipping in USA >>Located on the main highway, QL-19 between Qui Nhon on the coast and Pleiku in the Central Highlands, AN KHE was of strategic significance during the Vietnam War. From mid-1965 to 1968, the US 1st Cavalry Division was based there at Camp RADCLIFFE. The 1st Cavalry saw ongoing action in the war. The Army 25th Ordnance Detachment (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) also was located at the base camp and provided disposal support. Later in 1968 the 1st Cavalry Division relocated, and the Army's 173rd Airborne Brigade took over the base camp.
