G10 MUSEUM GRADE WORLD CLASS 5 7/16 " CARTER CAVE PALEO AGATE BASIN BENNETT
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:4300702 | Modified Item: No |
This world-class agate basin was found in Wayne County KY around 1924. It is made from highly mineralized carter cave flint. Amazing percussion edgework and heavily ground base. HAS TONS OF SURFACE HYDRATION MINERALIZATION PRESENT AND LOTS OF MICROBIAL IRON DEPOSITION ON ITS SURFACE. Has a COA from Jim Bennett. This is one of the best agate basins I have ever seen, and one of the ...finest artifacts in the house. Formerly in the Colbert Collection. A museum grade example of a late paleo spear.
