This lot contains five original black and white pool and billiard photographs. These were published in 2000 as a series of the top ten best pool and billiard players of all time. Charles Ursitti was an avid pool and billiard historian who amassed an incredible collection over the years and he and I got together in 2000 to publish 100 sets of these photos. Charlie passed a couple of years ago but I have very fond memories of spending time with him in his townhouse in New York's Little I...taly where he grew up and lived most of his life until he moved to Florida.
The five photos here are #1, Willie Hoppe, #4, Alfredo DeOro, #6, Steve Mizerak, #7, Frank Taberski and #8, Irving Crane
I was one of the largest dealers of antique pool and billiard memorabilia starting back in 1995 and have since retired from the business. I found a straggler box in my garage last week which contains a few odds and ends including these great movie items.
