TITLE Up for your consideration is this really nice 1955 vintage "Addiator" standard model mechanical pocket adding machine - still brand new in the original box with carry case and instructions. Please be sure to see the other items we have listed. While researching this online I found this exact same unit pictured on a Smithsonian sponsored website, This is copied from "The National Museum of American History" Description; This metal notched band adder has a metal... stylus. The front of the instrument is painted green, the back, black. One can enter numbers up to six digits long. The clearing bar is at the top. The case is clear plastic. The firm of Carl Keubler produced adders under the name Addiator in Berlin (later West Berlin) from 1920 until the 1980s. This is one of three versions of the Addiator in the Smithsonian collections. It was given to the Museum by the machinist and museum specialist George A. Norton, Jr. Norton used the device to do routine addition, subtraction, and multiplication until he acquired an electronic calculator.

CONDITION: It comes to you in overall excellent condition. The adder appears as brand new with no scratches or wear at all, the clear plastic case in mint, the instructions have been folder different ways over the years but are intact and stain free, The box does have some issues - it is flattened a bit and rest at an angle, there is wear all around and the seam has split some, but aside from the box it is in otherwise excellent condition. You really like the thing, but not so much the price...I find cool stuff, do some research and list it for what I think it's worth. Sounds pretty simple but sometimes not. So if this is something you really like but its a bit more than you had hoped to pay, then be sure to watch this because I can't send it to the bank, and if it ends without a buyer chances are good that I will drop the price and re-list it until it does sell!
