From the 1950s comes this UF Grant classic - Sympathetic Checkers. In decent shape, especially considering the age. The tube has been repainted in classic Grant style and has some chipping and other defects over time. The checkers are all original and have typical defects and cracking commensurate with age.

Effect: (From the ad description)
Two sets of checkers and a metal cylinder, open at both ends, are used in this colorful and perplexing effect. Each set of checkers consists of 1 red, 1 yellow, and 1 green. Both sets are stacked so that the colors are in the same order and the one set is covered with the cylinder. The visible set is then rearranged. When the cover is removed from the other set, it is seen to have rearranged itself too! This is repeated a second time. Finally, one of the checkers is vanished, only to reappear between the other 2 under the cover!
