Something for everyone!This is an excellent example of an early, pre-WWI wireless spark transmitter system component! Here we have a scarce Clapp-Eastham Blitzen Type O 1/4 KW Wireless Box-Mounted Transformer c1915! It measures about 14" wide, 7.25" deep and 6..." tall, weighing in at just under 17 pounds!The primary and secondary coils are mounted in an independent, robust metal frame and then housed in an attractive cabinet. It was originally designed to be driven directly by 110 volt, 60 cycle circuit that will produce a secondary voltage on the order of 5000 volts when properly paired will produce a 1/4 KW of spark! The unit is in remarkable condition given that it is over 100 years old! It is unrestored and shows the normal signs of use and storage over so many years, most noteably on the bottom. Internally, it looks fantastic and smells perfect...like another time in the past! This beautiful box immediately sends you back in time...in some attic or shed...where the lighting dims with every key stroke!!I have tried to take good photographs, and they represent the condition accurately!
