This is an antique outboard motor factory accessory. It's listed in the 1970's OMC accessory catalogs.
Part number is #172340. It will fit 5.5hp, 6hp, 7.5hp from 1956-58. Ten hp 1953-63 plus 15hp, 18hp and 20hp. Most of these models require a mounting stand to anchor the shift cable to the cowl. We don't have any of these anchors to go with it. They would need to be bought separately.
