Up for auction is a Sioux Beaded Mens Moccasins. They are 11" long. The soles are parfleche as can be seen in the pictures. There is a thunderbird design beaded on the fronts. The moccasins are 3-1/4" tall by 4-1/4" wide. They are in good condition. The left moccasin does not have any designs on the parfleche. Thread sewn. Beadwork is in very good shape. This piece is out of the Lutheran Reverend Ernest Von Kronwitter that was from Germany but was doing Missionary work in the Dak...otas and other Indian Reservations in the early 1900's He collected these items and took them back to Germany before World War 1 broke out.
