RARE Rhode Island License Plate Porcelain Type 2 Second Issue 3963 Gloss VG 1908. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
Maybe the most notable of Rhode Island plates because of the “I” . People during that period thought the “I” looked a lot like a number 1 and from a distance the RI on the plates resembled the number “81” therefore they changed the “I” to have serifs Which were then manufactured . There were only approx 1000 sets produced of this ver...sion. This is a very nice example.
