This spout was made utilizing the art of "lost-wax casting" which is among the finest in the world.
Traditional Nepalese water spouts were originally made of stone but also metals, such as copper, bronze, brass or silver. Uncertain of the exact metal composition, believe it to be brass, and this one is in excellent condition with an amazing patina.
