Up for auction is a large Victorian scrapbook consisting of trade cards, lithographs, original drawings, postcards, and die-cuts. There are several pages which are decorated as shown, as well as lots of loose pieces in the back of the book which were never affixed. Topics include stoves, dyes, thread, tonics, liver pills, extracts, farm machinery, small pamphlets, etc. There is also a handwritten poem from 1835, and someone has translated the hard-to-read writin...g. All-in-all, there are sixteen pages of items affixed to the pages, and approximately 75 or so loose items. Also, as a bonus, there is a second scrap book being included. It is mostly of news clippings from the 1800's, but there is also a neat image by I.W. Taber taken in Yosemite.As for condition, the pages are pulling away from the spine, and the interior pages are brittle. Album measures 13" x 17".True ebay auction experience....opening bid is $9.99.
