Original Description:
This a circa mid 1920s employee badge for the Curtiss Aeroplane & Motor Company, founded by early aviator Glenn Curtis.  Curtiss Aeroplane and Curtiss Motor Company were separate companies in the 1910s, but then in 1916 they merged.  This entity later became part of the Curtiss-Wright Corporation in 1929.  Curtiss manufactured seaplanes and other craft, working with United States Navy in the early days of military aviation and also with allies Canada and Great Britai...n.  The badge is oval and has a great Art Deco design.  It is numbered 6682 on a green insert showing through small glass pane. Nice piece, wish m y pictures were better, but it is real nice!
