AN ORIGINAL, ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SINGLE DRAW LEATHER COVERED BRASS TELESCOPE, AS IN THE IMAGES
SIGNED GRAHAM & PARKES, 43 CANNING PLACE, LIVERPOOL AND ALSO ENGRAVED ' DAY OR NIGHT '
TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE THEY WERE PRODUCING OPTICAL & SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENTS AT THIS ADDRESSBETWEEN 1860 AND 1890
THE MAIN LENS SLIDE COVER IS STILL PRESENT, AS IS THE EYEPIECE SLIDE, AND WITH NO CHIPS OR CRACKS TO THE LENSE...S IT FOCUSSES WELL TO A GOOD, SHARP, BUT RATHER DUSTY IMAGE
IT MEASURES APPROX. 20" (52cm) LONG CLOSED, 36" (91cm) FULLY EXTENDED AND HAS A MAIN LENS DIAMETER OF 2" (5cm)
IN USED CONDITION, WITH A COUPLE OF DENTS THAT PREVENT THE SHADE FROM SLIDING FORWARDS AND THE LEATHER NO LONGER PERFECT
