Epiphyllum ' Ackermannii Hybridus - Red ' Rooted Cutting - Antique Variety Rare
Item History & Price
Introduced in 1897 by Simon Charles, this hybrid of Disocactus ackermannii forms a large plant with flat and triangular growth with short spines. The coloration of the plant will take on deep-red coloration with bright light. There are various colored hybrids - this is a deep red form with small to medium-sized flowers that are born in profusion. No Epiphyllum collection would be complete without this antique classic!
This offering is for one ...well-rooted and established cutting, with new growth showing or beginning to show, in a 3 1/4" pot - similar to what may be seen in the photos. These are not full plants but, rather, smaller, well-rooted cuttings that are just beginning to show signs of new growth, or new growth is already developing. If you don't want to have to wait for a cutting to root, this will save you a few steps and time. The young plant you will receive is healthy and true to name (and may show a few nicks and dings).

I've been growing and collecting Epiphyllums for over 40 years, and enjoy over 600 varieties in my collection. It would be hard to choose a favorite, but it would probably have to be the one that's right in front of me!
All photos are of plants in my own collection - unless stated otherwise. Flower photos are for reference only. Not in bloom.
