Warwick China was produced in Wheeling, WV from 1887 until 1951. It was especially known for its IOGA line which featured brown glazed tankard and stein sets featuring monks, dogs and Indigenous Persons. This Portrait piece features a Sea Captain, A35. This form is very hard to find. In fact, I only found one other online. They called the form a Double Spout Pitcher. The auctioneer called it a Double Spout Ewer, which I do not believe it is. It has the well known brown to tan, standard... glaze.
The piece is 9 inches tall and 7 inches from spout to spout. The base is 4.75 inches in diameter. The pitcher is in very good condition. There are a couple of tiny glaze flakes on the handle, one tiny flake on the taller spout, 2 tiny flakes on the back, one above the other, a few tiny but close together flakes on his chin, a tiny flake on his coat lapel and an 1/8 inch scratch on his beard. I tried to take several closeup photos of this area, as I try to be thorough in my descriptions of any flaws.
