There is some difference in tone from what might have been front to back but it should polish up nicely all over. No dents. There were no such things as non-smoking homes so the difference in toning might be connected but it is otherwise clean. Reflective aluminum paint underneath coming off some. Attractive ornate border around the bottom looks to be brass and is also protective. If I just have to pick a decade for it I will say 1940's but that is only an estimate. Intriguing construc...tion though, might have been made by winding then pressing wire not unlike the way bell brass was made earlier in the last century.
