This auction is for a gorgeous signed Wave Crest trinket box. It stands 6" high and is approximately 5" square. The yellowish-green color reminds me of custard glass, but this piece doesn't glow green under a blacklight. The lid and sides are hand enameled with blue, pink, white and lavender flowers, swirls, dots and accents. The metal framing, to include both lid, box and bottom, is the same leaf and berry pattern. The bottom frame sits on four claw-s...haped feet. The bottom has both a red C.F. Monroe Wave Crest mark and the remnants of an old paper label. There's no liner, but I wonder if there ever was one, as the inside edges are extremely clean and show no threads or snippets of any cloth having been removed. When I purchased this piece, I saw no signs of damage, just some dirt, most of which I washed off. It wasn't until I was blacklighting it that I saw the fine hairline on one side, and what I thought was dirt inside was staining along the hairline. Please check my photos for condition....it's hard to see unless you know it's there. There's some wear to the metal rim and you might want to shine the metal a bit, but besides the hairline mentioned above, there are no other apologies to note.
