One of the biggest and best Chubs I’ve ever had or offered for sale. Near 5” and a whopping 3 5/8” wide. As wide as a huge Chub is long. Super nice colors and preservation. The bourlette is seamless in areas with the enamel and the smooth light tan root has virtually no cracks and amazing form. Big root nubs too, and weak cusps that attest... to its lineage, but it’s definitely a Miocene Chub age area so, no matter how you slice it, it’s a Chub. And a huge, killer one at that. Remarkable tooth, sad to see it go after having it in my collection about 15 years.
