This listing is for a Continental Manufacturing Company (CMC) pocket lighter. This lighter was made in Japan around the 1950's, and is in very good condition, but with noticeable wear to the finish. The metal finish appears to be a hammered design, there are tiny dings spread around the surface. I'm sure the outside metal sleeve is decorated by hand, and the dings look like they may be there naturally from the artist that designed this piece. Either way the lighter is beautiful, and is... a real conversation starter. There is some wear on the plating, but overall it is very nice. The chrome portions show some wear, but there is no corrosion or damage. The lighter mechanism moves freely, and the flint tube is clear, but the lighter doesn't want to spark with every strike. The mechanism seems to stick a little, and may just need to be cleaned. This is a petrol lighter, and it has NOT been filled and tested. Thank you for looking.

If they doleak it is usually a matter of replacing the seals, and the lighter works fine.I DO remove the flint prior to shipping to insure there will be no spark. The buyer isresponsible for purchasing insurance should it be desired. The seller will useUSPS First Class or Priority depending on weight of package for all domesticshipments. The seller will use USPS Priority for ALL international shipments unlessinstructed otherwise by the buyer.
