WOW! RARE ANTIQUE 1879 SETH THOMAS MARINE NAUTICAL SHIP'S BRASS BELL WALL CLOCK!
Up for sale is a fantastic-looking original brass marine ship's wall clock by Seth Thomas patented on November 4th, 1879!. It appears to be the early version of this interesting clock with a bell. I can see that it still attached to the original wooden board, but the previous owner attached it to the additional vint...age board. I will also include it in the sale. The clock was in a collection of a retired captain who collected a variety of antique nautical objects. Some of them I have already listed and sold on eBay. I do not know if he runs this clock or not because it was discovered in a box without a key. Maybe he had a key somewhere else, but I just could not find it. This clock might be still in working order, but since I do not know how to test it, I am selling it as is. I've carefully unscrewed the panel to show you the inner mechanism. I think that the mechanism is original and the clock's hands also original and have not been replaced. The interesting thing is that when I attempted to unscrew the cover to show the inner mechanism, it started to move. I probably pushed something. I had a chance to film it. Please go on Youtube to see my short video. You can find it by copying and pasting the following eBay item number "265025453091" in the Youtube search bar. The clock shows some dents, scratches, and the mechanism shoes some oxidation. I can see the mechanism has some oil, which means that the clock was probably still working. Please, take a look at the photographs to judge the condition. In my opinion, the clock looks great. It might be a perfect restoration project or something that could be just dusted, cleaned, and placed straight on a wall. If it does need a restoration, be sure to record the progress and place a video or some photos online. It would be exciting to see the restoration process! Please note that if you bid from a country other than the USA or Canada, shipping might be more than $35.

Regards, Roma.On Jan-28-21 at 10:47:25 PST, seller added the following information:I do not see the glass, so it might need to be replaced with a new one. I can see that the brass ring around could be unscrewed. I believe this is how a glass could be placed in.
