The Invasion Of Utah An Epic Intermtn Lawn Tennis Assc Salt Lake City UT 1925 CO
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:4337712 |
Record of Lawn Tennis Tournament, Colorado participants.
About 5" x 7". Thirteen one sided pages with attached photos. Pages are brittle and there has been some chipping. Generally though, very good condition. There is one loose photo and ten attached phots.
Bound in leather. Nicely printed. Not sure if it represents a real thing or a made up description of a trip or what. Very humorous, well written, well printed and photographed ...publication. Too cool.
I think its a travelogue of a fun trip by a group of friends, part of the idle rich, to Utah to play tennis, ostensibly through the Intermountain Lawn Tennis Association. On the other hand, there are numerous references to newspaper articles, in Salt Lake and Colorado Springs, so maybe there WAS an organized tournament. It's still pretty funny. I think Hungerford was the author and this is the copy that belonged to Mr. & Mrs. Pastorius.
