EXTREMELY RARE VINTAGE 1967 7" UK ONE SIDED MONAURAL ACETATE RECORDING OF THE CLASSIC BEATLES SONG WRITTEN BY JOHN LENNON, " STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER " ! ORIGINAL ACETATES ARE EXTREMELY RARE! RECORDED JANUARY 18, 1967!
VERY RARE VINTAGE JANUARY, 1967 UK 7" ONE SIDED MONO ACETATE RECORDING OF THE CLASSIC BEATLES SONG, " STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER " WRITTEN BY JOHN LENNON! RUNNING TIME IS 4:05. THE SONG WAS FEATURED FIRST AS THE A-SIDE SINGLE BACKED WITH 'PENNY LANE' IN EARLY 19...67. THEN IT APPEARED ON THE ' MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR ' EP IN THE UK AND LP IN THE U.S.. OF COURSE, AS TIME WENT ON, " PENNY LANE " GRADUALLY BECAME THE ACCEPTED A-SIDE OF THE SINGLE, WITH IT'S STRONG RADIO SHOWING. BUT THE REAL A-SIDE WAS THE GREAT " STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER " BY JOHN EVEN IF NOT QUITE SUITED FOR POP RADIO. THE ACETATE CONDITION IS A NICE VG- TO VG. IT HAS SOME LINES AND SCUFFS, BUT WILL PLAY FINE. NO DEEP MARKS. THE REVERSE SMOOTH SIDE IS SOLID WITH NO CRACKS OR CHIPS. THE ENTIRE DISC HAS NO CRACKS OR CHIPS. FOR AN ORIGINAL VINTAGE SOFT SURFACE ACETATE, THIS ONE IS IN GREAT SHAPE!. THE VERSION OF THE SONG IS THE VERSION THAT WAS TAKE 12 MONO REMIX RECORDED JANUARY SECOND. THIS IS THE MONO MIX OF THE SONG. THE B SIDE IS BLANK WITH NO LABELING. AS YOU MAY KNOW, ACETATE RECORDINGS ARE RARE IN THAT THEY ARE INDUSTRY USE ONLY REFERENCE RECORDS TO TEST THE QUALITY RETENTION AND INTEGRITY OF THE SOUND AS TRANSFERRED FROM TAPE TO DISC.
