Fantastic ' Edison - Bell ' Type B Crystal Radio Double Detector. C1923.

Another crystal radio from my collection. Over the next several weeks I will selling off my collection of antique crystal and tube radios, which I have been collecting for more than 25 years. This one is a fantastic Edison-Bell crystal set with its unique twin detectors, that have their original glass covers with white backing. All knobs and thumb screws are present and original, which is rare, and it also has the original horseshoe shaped connector in the holes where... a extra coil can be mounted (see last photo from radiomuseum.org). It also has a little drawer on one side for a 4.5 volt battery that powered a small bulb to illuminate the detectors from below. The loose wires visible in the photo of the underside of the top, connected to the battery.
The extra round label below the front label suggests that it was originally sold in Spain and says "Anglo Espanola de Electricidad Barcelona". It appears to be in working condition (see photos) but I haven't tested it in years. It's condition is excellent considering it was made almost a century ago. It measures about 8.5" x 6" x 7" (high).
I will also include a nice pair of vintage Telefunken headphones with connectors that fit this type of radio.
