Beaded bag, by Shannon L. Fast Horse, an Oglala Sioux Native American, with his last name and marking on back. Condition is Used (Excellent) . Beautiful intricate geometric design on soft leather with vivid colors in red, yellow, light blue, white, with lapis blue background. Inside is lined with light blue wool or felt (not sure which) Has never been used; purchased in 1992 At Prairie Edge, Santa Fe, NM for display purposes only. Artist was born in 1966, taught his a...rt by his father, resided in Rapid City, SD and was convicted and sent to prison for the murder of his girlfriend in 2006. Total length from top of strap to end of leather strips is 39". Actual enclosed bag is 11-1/2" by 8-1/2". Strap width is 2-1/8" wide with repeat design x 4. Shoulder strap is 36" total length from where the strap meets the top of bag portion. There are 29 - 11-1/4" long beaded leather strips that hang from the bottom and are capped with metal. This is an incredible piece of art to make a fabulous addition to start or add to a collection. Shipped only in the U.S. with USPS First Class Package. No returns.
