Offered is a fine and essentially complete and articulated example of the rare starfish Urasterella verruculosa, from the celebrated Devonian locality at Bundenbach, Germany.At 8.5cm (across arms), this is a good sized specimen, and one that shows fine detail of the arms with innumerable tiny calcitic plates It is complete except for the tip of one arm. This species is among the uncommon starfish at this famous locality, where the fossils are replaced in iron pyrites.
