Vintage (probably 1950s), PRES-A-LITE cigarette lighter and dispenser for your vintage automobile. This rare dispenser is in amazing condition. This is a manual cigarette dispenser that will light one cigarette at a time when it's dispensed into the chamber below. All you do is open the chamber, the cigarette is dispensed, and then in a few seconds the heating element will light the cigarette (much like a car lighter does). From there, you grab the cigarette fro...m the lighting chamber and smoke away. You can keep your eyes on the road! You can Google this product for a video on how it works.
The dispenser is designed for installation on the steering column of an automobile. It's from the Pres-A-Lite Sales Corp., N.Y., N.Y. According to the box, which is also in great condition, "The Pres-A-Lite hands you a lighted ready to smoke cigarettes while you drive". Holds 23 cigarettes and is designed to plug into your car lighter. However, you can also strip the wire to post on the ignition switch for a current as well. This Pres-A-Lite is new old stock, is in pristine original condition. The box shows edge wear and overall great condition. The paperwork is in great condition with no rips or tears--only yellowing. Comes with original bag for accessories such as wrench, steering column clamp, nut, external lockwasher, and spring lockwasher.
