For sale is an interesting collection of three large color temple rubbings. I found these and many others in two containers I acquired from a Washington D.C. estate that someone shipped back to themselves from abroad in the 1960s or 1970s. I don't think they were ever hung or framed, as one of the containers was still sealed and the ones in the open one were all still rolled up and packed carefully. These large rubbings show various scenes, possibly from the Wat Po Temple in Bangkok, r...ubbed from the original stone half a century or so ago. They are also large, measuring approximately 20 x 40 inches each. Each is rubbed in color on fancy handmade paper. Nice lot! Low starting bid with no reserve!
