1777 American Revolution Period Calendar Medal RARE BRITISH
Measuring about 38mm is this calendar medal struck in brass/bronze, a handy small thing to have in your pocket/purse back then. At any rate, there were France and other European countries striking such medals. For whatever the reason, British ones were struck in small numbers compared to those of French legend. But, those French ones were struck in England, even during the American Revolution when they were fighting each ot...her. Go figure that out!
Another rare date is this 1780 British calendar medal. This was the nicest I have ever seen in 15 years of collecting this series.
