Antique FRIGID EMBALMING FLUID Embossed Bottle w RARE ORIGINAL LABEL c.1895-1915. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.This is one of the last of a small group of scarce mortuary-related bottles I acquired last year from the estate of a local reenactor who portrayed the undertaker at historical events.The bottle--completely free of any chips, scratches, or cracks--is very nice in itself, but what makes it stand out from the crowd is its very scarce, original, two-color ...label. The label is mostly intact, with a water stain and small loss at top right, overall toning and fading to the red lettering, and a few tiny edge tears and losses. Please refer to the photos for the best assessment of condition.I believe the bottle to be quite early, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. The mold lines end at the base of the neck, with the neck and lip being hand-finished. The glass contains one large bubble and a number of smaller ones. An old cork (and old dust!) are present at the top.The bottle is 7.25" tall and 2.5" square. The embossed side is marked off in 14 one ounce increments.I'm starting this scarce bottle at just 99 cents, with no reserve.
