This is a rare opportunity to bid on a 1.67" front section of a theropod dinosaur claw found in the Hell Creek Formation on private land with permission in Powder River County, Montana. This is a partial claw (front section) and therefore without the back section makes this difficult to identify to a genus level. This claw dates back to the Late Cretaceous approximately 66-67million years ago and was found in one piece as an isolated claw in an ancient river channel. Although this ther...opod claw is not complete, it still shows the distinctive tapering curve as well as the nutritional groove on each side. The straight-line length of this claw is 1.67” and is 0.53” in width. Please see photos for more details on the condition of this specimen. Apart from the removal of excess matrix during preparation, this is totally as nature preserved it. NO RESERVE ON THIS ITEM SO HAPPY BIDDING! HAPPY TO COMBINE SHIPPING AND REFUND ANY EXTRA POSTAGE IF POSTAGE IS LESS THAN EXPECTED.
