SUPERB ANTIQUE FRENCH APOTHECARY PHARMACIE WOODEN CRAYON A MIGRAINE c1900

I am listing all of the treasures here from today and they have all been hidden away for many years and this is the first time the collection has been seen. Please check my other items and check back throughout the week as I manage t...o list these wonderful 18th and 19th century confections. From the late 1800s/early 1900s this is a charming antique French wooden apothecary or chemist pharmacie " Crayon a migraine" pot. All in wonderful condition the 2 parts screw firmly together and it is a superbly turned piece. The lettering is all still strong and the top has a makers mark JFS flanked by 2 winged griffins along with the words "marque de fabrique". Height 6cms Max diameter 2.3cms Perfect for any period collection or display. All the items in my listings, unless described otherwise, are either vintage or antique. They have all had a 'past' life, a history to tell - and this inevitably affects their condition through use and handling. I do my best to make my descriptions as accurate as possible but please do not bid if you are looking for pristine items; you will not find them in my auctions! However, if you are as passionate as me about beautiful time-worn treasures with a history and full faded grandeur then I hope you will enjoy looking through my treasures as much as I enjoy 'truffling' for the finds.
