Offered, from the Albert Collection, is a tiny (5mm) but complete and sharp relief example of a very rare trinucleid species from the Lower Ordovician; llanvirn Series, Suri Formation of La Rioja Province, NW. Argentina; Famatinolithus aff. noticus Harrington & Leanza, 1957.This tiny specimen appears to have the full complement of thoracic somites, so may be a young holaspis. Preserved in a highly micacious siltstone (which is almost black in natural light) it will... prepare further with modern air tools..............Matrix approx. 2cm X 2cm X 0.5cm.Affordable price for a sharp and rare complete example of this South American species.
