Offered here is an absolute stunning arachnid from Pit 11, from the Carbondale Formation of the Mazon Creek lagerstatten of Grundy County, Illinois, Pennsylvanian in age. I don’t know the genus/species of the arachnid. The body alone measures 1/2” long and with the legs, measures a bit longer and sits in a nodule that measures 1 7/8” x 1 1/2”. The detail on the body is stunning and the legs on one side are fully laid out while the other side is tucked. I purchased this specimen... about 2 years ago and time to let it go.
