A 6 3/8" tall square-shaped clear-glass antique OWL DRUG CO bottle. This is the smallest sample-size whiskey bottle and according to a 1900 Owl Drug Co. mail order catalog, these owl drug whiskey top bottles held a variety of liquors from Pacific Club Bourbon to Black Swan Gin. This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled top, dating it all the way back to very early 1900.Bottle embossed with a picture of an owl perched on a druggis...ts' mortar, stirring a pestle. The mortar is embossed with, "TODCo / TRADE MARK". TODCo = The Owl Drug Co.Condition: Bottle is in nice clean condition with typical wear and haze. It has a tiny impact mark or pot stone on the side of the neck with resulting 'spider' or 'star' shaped flashes (tiny short cracks) coming out of it. Otherwise it has NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc. When looking at the front of the bottle, the pot stone is located on the left upper side of the neck, as seen in the last picture. Age: An ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand-blown bottle (Blown-In-Mold = BIM) with a tooled-top, ca. early 1900's.Shipping: FREE domestic shipping. We ship several times a week and your prompt payment will hasten the turn-around time. These bottles are referred to Whiskey Top Owl Drug bottles because of just that, they have a whiskey top. About the only time they come up for sale is when a collection changes hands and are sold off, otherwise no one wants to part with them. They occur in five different sizes in clear glass, starting with this one, the smallest one, then an 8 inch, a 10 1/4", 11", and 11 3/4" tall. There is also an 8" one in a beautiful deep green color and an 11 3/4" that come in a deep amber color. We've seen a few of the clear glass varieties that still had the original paper labels on them, Black Swan Gin, Pacific Club Bourbon, Jockey Club Whiskey, French Brandy, and the larger amber bottles with Imported Sherry and Port Wine labels.
