For sale is an antique / vintage small candy counter scale or novelty scale. Cast iron. Heavy (for its size) and durable. Well-made. Comes with what I believe is the original metal tray and 4 cast iron weights (weights are engraved “4”, “3”, “2”, and “1”). I see no markings anywhere on the scale. Maybe from a General Store? Or made to look like it would have been in a general store? Still functioning and displays beautifully. I really don’t know anything about this pi...ece other than that it is old (based on provenance). I made no attempts to clean or repaint. Not sure if this was painted and/or touched up at some point in the past, though - see pics to make your own assessment. Shows some minor wear due to age (eg, light surface wear, minor paint loss, tray shows some wear and light scratches, etc). What you see is exactly what you get. Measures approximately 6” W x 4” D.
