On offer is this marvellous HARD TO FIND antique VICTORIAN BEAUTY DOUBLE BOOK CHAINS with LOCKET PENDANT LAVALIER Necklace.IT IS HIGHLY DETAILED AND HIGHLY ORNATE! (please see ALL photos).THE EMBOSSED ETCHED Roman half circles ARE MADE OF 12k ROSE GOLD filled rolled gold. The DOUBLE BOOK CHAINS (not single!) ARE MADE OF 12k YELLOW GOLD FILLED ROLLED GOLDThe ends of the book chain are so detailed featuring etched flower & foliage They are ROSE GOLD in colour.The first (1st) highlight of this piece is the INTRICATE ROSE GOLD LAVALIER DROP that connects the double book chains in the middle. The second highlight is the beautifully etched 12K light ROSE Gold Front & Back LOCKET PENDANT with REAL NATURAL SOLITAIRE DIAMOND. The locket pendant is marked with the maker's mark: S.MEL & CO, USA. Unfortunately, we can not find any information about the maker as it is very old!The LOCKET PENDANT closes tightly and snaps firmly.The old C-spring clasp of the book chain is in perfect working condition.There is no dents or cracks but with minor scratches consistent for its age.The craftsmanship is of high quality.YOU CAN NOT FIND ANOTHER ONE LIKE THIS PIECE THAT IS TIMELESS & SO ELEGANT!
