1969 - S Kennedy Half Dollar, NGC PF - 68 UC - - RARE TOP SHELF PROOF COIN

For sale is an absolutely gorgeous 1969-S Kennedy Silver Proof Half Dollar--graded and certified by NGC as PF-68*UC. There's a lot of cool things going on with this coin which make it very rare and top shelf. First, the "*" designation in the grade by NGC is very rare for them to award, and this means that the coin has much better eye appeal than the grade would suggest. So that means they believe this coin is more gorgeous than a typical coin that achieves a PF-68 grade. Also the "UC"... in the grade stands for "Ultra-Cameo" which denotes the frosty white raised images on the coin. UC is very common for modern coins to achieve, but is almost unheard of for coins from the 60's to achieve, because the minting process was not as perfected as it is today. It is so rare, in fact, that NGC has certified only a mere 21 coins to this grade. THAT'S how rare this coin is!

When you see the ultra cameo finish on President Kennedy's bust you see why NGC gave it the star designation. The coin has no toning at all and no major blemishes.
