I think it was F.A. Hermann who introduced oranges in pins, as a substitute for flowers. I always thought it was a great idea, introducing such a sunny color. The enamel on this pin is in excellent condition, no chips or scratches. The white that you see on the photos is just a reflection from the light.

He started his company in 1908 in Massachusetts and it was a prolific producer of enameled pins, from small to large, mostly gui...lloche art nouveau flower themes. All of his work is very attractive, and was very popular (and I have quite a few of those).
