Antique Western Electric Oak Crank Wall Telephone /Stromberg Modified To Radio
Item History & Price
Antique Western Electric Oak Crank Wall Telephone /Stromberg Modified to RadioI think this is a Western Electric phone with a Stromberg-Carlson Receiver. It has been modified with what looks like a vintage radio to me.The radio turns on and the tubes light up. It makes a crackling scratching sound. I don't know if it actually works or not. Has a very old IBM electrical cord for power. The receiver cord is broken and I think the clapper is missing. The crank is no long connected to anythi...ng.The bakelite mouthpiece is chipped and may not be original. The writing shelf needs to be reglued - being held on by friction only.Set Code Number at bottom of door is 317R.Numbers along the top of the instruction paper inside door are:P-114541 317-N-P-R-S Issue 1The wood is oak. Very nice looking piece of history.I will ship promptly and package carefully. It's heavy - over 17 pounds.Thank you!
