Original Description:
This is a beautiful wearing blanket, about 68" with a width varying from 52" to 48". Condition of the field is very good, with some light soiling and a few small breaks in warp and one small disburbance in the raveled-red weft in the central dividing panel (pictured) that is visible from front and back sides. There are signs of ethnographic wear around the perimeter, including losses of the original indigo selvage tie cords. This wear is consistent with ethnographic wear, as the stress...es are perimeters near corner and center. Could be repaired at reasonable expense or continue as is for another 150 years.
