Rare & Vintage A. R. Mosler Mica Top Spark Plug And Piston Cigar Ashtray

You won't find another one of these. This large cigar or pipe ashtray was made from three early Mosler mica top spark plugs and a large piston, most likely from the same era. I believe the Mosler plugs are very early 20th century. They look like they are either bronze or brass, and I think they are the kind that separate into two parts. I am not well schooled in this area of collecting. I don't know if this was made from a car or an aviation piston and plugs. The brass wing emblem migh...t tell the tale. The rests tooled into the piston are large enough to hold any size cigar. The piston is tapped or threaded for the plugs. You could probably unscrew them if you wanted to. It's just too cool !
