This auction is for a collection of apparently 'Italy Crown 800' silver cutlery.Includes: 6x dining knives, 3x dining forks, 4 x desert spoons, 1x serving spoon.Each item has the 'Italy' marking and is stamped with a crown hallmark & '800'. The internet says that genuine 'Italy Crown 800' cutlery is sterling silver, but these don't look like sterling silver. The pockmarks on the cutlery and the wearing off of the plating are evidence that these are a...t best only silver plated, not sterling silver (they responded to silver polishing like silver and leave black marks on white cloth like genuine silver).Condition: See photos. Some items are in reasonable condition. Most have tarnishing marks, stains or pock-marks clearly showing. Obviously in need of some restoration or re-silvering if to be used as cutlery.I'm selling various bits of silverware. See my other items.
