Basilea Solid Silver Swiss Cantons Medallion - 1958 Huguenin
A large solid silver medallion crafted by the renowned Swiss medal maker Huguenin.
The intricate design is based on a Thaler - Obverse: Winged basilisk with arms of Basel at lower left within centre circle of assorted shields. Reverse City view with seven ships in harbor within beaded circle. Lettering: DOMINE · CONSERVA · NOS · IN · PACE BASILEA
There are some silve...r plate example listed on various collectors site but this is a fully hallmarked and dated solid sliver original. I have not seen one in solid sliver before.
