Thisis a vintage (quite old) Lietz Pocket Transit Compass, model 8026-55 with brownplastic carrying case. It is good condition, showing actual wear and patina of a toolthat was likely well used by a professional in a real business, and a serioushiker. Please view all pictures closely and make your own assessment of itscondition. The brown plastic carrying case has some damage to the hinge, but this does not affect itsuse. The compass itself is all metal with brass hinges and appears to... function correctly, especially consideringits age, and there are many interesting functions that this instrument can perform.
