This is an antique United States Military WWI Award Medal. It says, "San Francisco To Her Warrior Sons 1919. On the back it is marked Granat Bros. 980/1000 silver. Garnet Brothers is still a jewelry store in the San Francisco Bay area. The name of the soldier is C. A. Hartingsen. The piece measures about 2 inches tall by 1.25 inches wide, and weighs 12.4 grams on a jewelry scale. The pin has an old 'c' clasp closure. It opens easily, and closes securely.
