Vintage 1937 Illingworth No. 5 Mark II Trout Reel W/Half Bail And Box - EX Rare

Up for auction is this beautiful Illingworth No. 5 Mark II half bail in period box.  Everything works as designed.  Ebonite body and handle.  Reads No. 5 "ILLINGWORTH" Mark II On - Brake - Off on spool and No. 1231 on foot.  Side plate reads Patent Numbers 187124, 301601, 409633. In addition it also says The Illingworth No.5 Trout Reel and Oil Here.  Chrome is in very good condition.  Screw heads are straight.  There is minor pitting of the chrome on ...the stem below the foot as seen in photo 1.  This is an exciting reel to have in your collection.  The last of the Illingworth products.  With growing competition from other companies the No. 5 did not sell as well as anticipated and production was stopped. Thus, making numbers of this reel very few and highly collectible.   Box is in good condition with exception of strap which is broke in half.  Bottom of lid is stamped Robert Turnbull South Street Davin?
