RARE Antique Micro Seed Beads-18/0 Greasy Translucent Mint Teal Green-170g Hanks
There are only two of these mega-hanks in this color, at least that I have found in my stock so far. I am selling this for 72 cents a gram, which is a steal for 120 year old or older, rare handmade Italian tiny micro seed beads, in a greasy green that is no longer made.
Do expect a few broken strands even on the ones in the best condition. These are WELL over 100 years old and the strands are original. Bear in mind these are handmade artisan beads from Murano, Italy and that "greasy" beads are no longer made. Greasy is a term meaning it allows some light to pass through the bead, like polished jade--does NOT denote anything oily about it or any type of applied finish. Know that these are a good investment and will only increase in value over time.
This bead has an average diameter of 1.0-1.2 millimeters and counts out at 33 beads per inch. This is a very small bead so please know your sizes, especially the millimeters. This is so many beads in this color that you will be set for a long time for your projects, knowing that you will likely never be able to get this bead again.
I bought out the remaining stock from my supplier who had shipped over the contents of an old Murano, Italy bead warehouse, where artisans made these beads by hand from the 1800's to 1940. Once I sell this color I won't ever be able to get it again because it is no longer made.
In the U.S., shipping is $3.75 regardless of the amount you purchase. If the system charges you more I will refund the difference. Overseas shipping cost is based upon actual weight which is usually only 5-6 ounces for most orders. Again, I will refund the difference. This hank is so heavy and large that I will pay the additional shipping cost and send it to you either first class or priority mail, wrapped well, and in a larger box than I usually use for beads.
