Up for auction is an original WW I medal given by Congress to members of the Texas Cavalry for their service in WW I. From my limited knowledge this is a much more rare medal than most. The Medal is in excellent condition as you can see by the close up pics I have taken for your review. If you have followed my sales, many auctions start at $25.00 to $30.00. This will be higher due to my increased acquisition cost. I will start the auction at 44.95 and see where it goes. Thanks****NOTE LOOK**** I got a message from another eBayer saying this was a federal issue medal to members of the Texas cavalry that did not go overseas and were not eligible for the Victory Medal. He went on to say only 850 were given out. I cannot verify this but wanted to be as transparent as possible. I am proceeding with the notion that it was a WW I era medal given to Texas militias Thanks
