ITEM DESCRIPTIONA really wonderful antique Meissen porcelain cabinet plate.Dating to c. 1890.Finely painted with Greek figures.Measures 9 inches/24.7cm in diameter.Painted Meissen mark to the reverse, no cancellations - that is a guarantee.Very clean and bright with no chips or cracks, there is a tiny underglaze firing opening to the reverse which is original to manufacture and does not go through to the front of the plate (see pic 5).The only other thing I would ...mention is that when you turn the plate around the mark is actually upside down on the plate.Very nice piece.
