Here you are bidding on an unusual Western Electric Developmental Vacuum Tube with WE Lab Serial No. X14049. This tube has a good filament and is mounted in a moulded base.
It appears that this is an experimental "sc...reen grid type tube" as it has two wire wound grids, one inside and one outside an oval shaped cylindrical plate. The interior grid looks like it exits through the "horn" although the lead is parted from the top of the grid post exiting the top.I have tried to take good pictures to indicate the physical condition! Ask if you have any questions...If you collect Western Electric vacuum tubes or historical vacuum tubes in general, this is a must for your collection!
